Incheon Airport is a relatively new airport; it opened in 2001, and it's pretty sensationally styled. In keeping with much of the new Korea, it's an ultra-modernist retro design and looks like a Star Wars set or something from the Jetsons.
Here's the outside of the airport railway station; I don’t know what the thing on the roof does, if anything.
This is the inside of the airport railway station:
I don’t know what this building at the far end of the runways is; but again, it’s an impressive building, and it has lots of skylights; maybe a maintenance hangar?
This is the main Terminal building as seen from the air during take-off.
The airport is built on two low islands and the filled-in shallow water between them. Most of the artificial island is still empty space, although much of it is under development. Here is the view of Yeongjong and Yongyu islands as seen during take-off. The airport is mostly out of sight to the left, although some of the runways and the cargo terminal are just visible. The mainland is just visible through the ever-present smog.
The raised track at the bottom of the picture is a maglev (magnetic levitation) railway that will serve the airport hotels and other facilities when it opens in 2016.
In terms of passenger numbers (40 million pass through it each year) Incheon airport is the eight-biggest airport in the world, and a new terminal to be completed in 2017 means that it's expected to get much bigger.
